Geoffry Sean Thompson is the Owner of Thompson Nature Photography, a photography business that provides fine art printing, nature photography classes, and workshops out of Pawleys Island, SC.Sean began his interest in photography at an early age. By the time he was 15 he was developing his own photography. In 1979 Sean enlisted in the United States Coast Guard where he continued to shoot photography as a hobby. In 1991 Sean and his wife Elizabeth moved to coastal South Carolina. The Coast Guard had moved him to a new assignment in Georgetown. Sean retired from the Coast Guard in 2000 and started his photography business, New World Images Photography in 2001.
Sean's photographs have been published locally in the Sun News, Georgetown Times, Waccamaw Times, Tidelands Magazine and the Low Country Companion; as well as nationally sold calendars. His photography can be found at local art festivals such as Art in the Park in Myrtle Beach, Artists under the Arcade in Brookgreen Gardens and the Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival in Murrells Inlet. Raised in Palmetto, Florida, Sean now lives with his wife Elizabeth in Murrells Inlet, SC. Sean has recently been honored and selected as one of only 40 photographers' whose photography would be used to decorate the new Palmetto Health Children's Hospital in Columbia, SC.
