HDR WORKSHOP WITH EXCURSION TO BULL ISLAND'S BONEYARD BEACHDate: Tuesday, March 13th - Wednesday, March 14th, 2012
Date: Tuesday, March 27th - Wednesday, March 28th, 2012
Join South Carolina award winning and published photographer, Geoffry "Sean" Thompson on this special trip to a very unique and difficult to reach location!
The workshop portion will be conducted at Thompson Nature Photography in Pawleys Island on Tuesday before our excursion to Bull Island. The class will begin after lunch. You will receive approximately 4 hours of HDR training in the classroom. Once the classroom portion has been completed we will drive to the Pawleys Island Pier for sunset. Here I will help you setup your cameras and work with you on proper exposures!
The excursion portion has been coordinated to insure that we arrive at Bull Island prior to sunrise. We will be driven to and from the boneyard beach from the boat dock on the Island. This will save a 3.5 mile one-way walk to the beach. NO WALKING REQUIRED! On the island, shooting begins with twilight over a pond or salt marsh. For the boneyard shoot we will be there at or very near low tide, This should provide us with about 2.5 hours of photography over the marsh and boneyard beach.
Price of the Workshop and Excursion is $120.00. This includes the cost of the boat and transportation on the island. Transportation from Pawleys Island to the boat launch is not provided.
Deadline for payment and application is March 5th for the first workshop and March 19th for the second. Your reservation is guaranteed when payment is received. Class size maximum is 9 Students.
